Buttermilk, 1 cup                                   1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar, plus enough milk to make 1 cup (let stand 5 minutes) or 1 cup plain yogurt

Cornstarch, 1 tablespoon                       2 tbsps all purpose flour

Corn syrup (light), 1 cup                          1 cup granulated sugar plus 1/4 cup water

Half and half or light cream, 1 cup          1 tablespoon melted butter plus enough whole milk to make 1 cup

Molasses, 1 cup                                    1 cup honey

Sour cream, 1 cup                                 1 cup plain yogurt or greek yogurt
